But there's nothing that would prevent him from writing it for RedHat
and accepting contributions to Mandrake, SuSE and other
distributions. The point here is to start. 

I think it's worth having this document. 

As the author of the BootDisk-HOWTO mentioned, it was in his schedule
doing that. People should help him by asking if they can write it for
each distribution (SGML markup, please) and letting him (or even
helping him to) put it together. The HOWTO should have it's name
changed to "Bootable Devices HOWTO" or something like that.
